Step inside The Golden Olive, and you'll find a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the food's bold, aromatic flavors. The menu boasts a delightful selection of plates, salads, and beverages, designed to satisfy both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Among the crowd favorites are the Gyro Fries — a deliciously crispy bed of fries topped with tender gyro meat, creamy garlic sauce, and crumbled feta cheese for just $10.99. For vegetarians, the Veggie Combo Plate is a feast of hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, grape leaves, tahini salad, and warm pita, offering a harmonious balance of smoky, tangy, and fresh flavors priced at $15.49.
Meat enthusiasts rave about the Lamb Shawarma Plate, featuring marinated lamb grilled to perfection and served alongside fragrant rice, creamy hummus, a refreshing Greek salad, and soft pita bread for $17.49. The Chicken Fries provide a similar flavor profile with grilled chicken replacing the lamb, delivering a juicy, satisfying bite infused with Mediterranean spices. Salads also shine here, particularly the Falafel Salad — crunchy falafel nestled on a bed of crisp Greek salad, drizzled with tahini and sprinkled with feta, combining textures and tastes beautifully.
Reviewers consistently praise The Golden Olive for its freshness and quality. Bethany shares, “The chicken shawarma is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and easily the best shawarma in Seattle.” The authenticity shines through in every dish, with Saigaurav Purushothaman noting it as his “favorite restaurant in all of Seattle” after frequenting it for over a year and a half. Customers also highlight the generous portions and reasonable prices, making it a hidden gem for both hearty meals and quick bites.
What truly elevates The Golden Olive is its ability to marry authentic, soulful Mediterranean cooking with modern-day convenience. Whether you're craving the smoky sweetness of baba ganoush—the best one reviewer David Beers has ever tasted—or the crisp, freshly made falafel, each bite evokes the warmth and tradition of a Mediterranean kitchen. I’ve been ordering Golden Olive almost every week for over three years now and it has never been disappointing. No matter the day or the time of day, the food is always fresh and made with love. I have never felt unwell after eating it. The chicken shawarma is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and easily the best shwarmy in Seattle. I’m not usually into falafels, but these are a must! They are crisp on the outside, flavorful, and never dry on the inside. I get them with every order. The staff is kind and professional, and the service is consistently great. If you’re thinking about stopping by—do it. You won’t regret it! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS

My favorite restaurant in all of Seattle! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu at this point, and every single item is fantastic! I come to lunch or dinner here almost every day for the past year and a half, and still never get tired of the food. Highly recommend!!

We ordered lentil soup (and it was delivered hot!) along with a Falafel Plate, hummus and pita for the vegetarian. We added a Chicken and Rice plate with a delicious fresh house salad that included several homemade sauces. The portions were generous enough to have leftovers. The price was very reasonable and the delivery was quick. During these busy holidays, this restaurant is a gem with hard working, cheerful people!

Went back 3 times during my trip to Seattle because it was so good. Tried something different every time: lamb shawaarma, chicken gyro, and falafel, all of them were delicious. The baba ganoush was the best I've ever had, and the baklava was a wonderful treat. Affordable, too!

Absolutely delicious!!! We stumbled upon this place and couldn't be more pleased. The hummus was smooth, silky, and incredible. My gyro was perfect. Helpful staff. Would come back.

Falafel sandwich was nice, felt fresh and light. It was better with the spicy sauce. Garlic sauce was on the sweeter side. Lentil soup was a little bland for me. Chicken shawarma was good.
